A collaborative mixed-media animation for non-profit Welcome.US bringing awareness to the challenges refugees face on their journey to the USA.
The story follows an Afghan family’s journey to the US, told through their daughter’s memories of her time in Afghanistan, and the troubled events that led to their evacuation. A simple metaphor spoken by Dr. Maya Angelou encapsulates the story: the hopeful glow of rainbow light in the storm, a “rainbow in somebody’s cloud.”
